The first date Pacers fans looked for Monday when the NBA released the regular season schedule was when Paul George comes to town with his Oklahoma City Thunder.
It will be the first time George, the four-time All-Star, plays in Bankers Life Fieldhouse as an opponent after spending his first seven seasons with the Blue & Gold.
The date is set: Dec. 13 at 7:00 pm ET, and it’s the only time all season that the Pacers will appear on ESPN (or TNT, for that matter).
This was among the tweets sent by the Pacers’ official Twitter account with details of the team’s schedule:
Victor and Domantas host their former team on 12/13 on ESPN. #WeGrowBasketballHere https://t.co/eG6lIoX2kJ pic.twitter.com/h9KwNfDQsU

Ahh, yes. It will also be a time for Victor Oladipo and Domantas Sabonis, both of whom were sent to Indiana in the deal, play their former team. Oladipo, though, was only there a year. He was drafted by Orlando and spent his first three seasons in the land of Disney.
It’s the local spin, but it’s not the storyline.
A couple hours later, George indirectly replied to the tongue-in-cheek tweet.
Yes Indiana, Dec. 13th will be a special night for me too! We all will have different reasons!

It will be fun, indeed. Single-game tickets go on sale at 10:00 am on Thursday, Sept. 28.
