Paul George kept his mind off potentially being traded by spending Thursday morning and early afternoon at a local college.
PG-13 was at Hinkle Fieldhouse, on the campus of Butler University, to film a new Gatorade commercial. (Country star Eric Church has a show Thursday evening at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.) Look-a-like players were on the court in Detroit Pistons blue uniforms. George, meanwhile, was wearing the Pacers’ home white uniform.
The trade deadline is 3:00 pm ET on Thursday. The Pacers were scheduled to practice Thursday afternoon.
George, a four-time NBA All-Star, was one of five elite Olympics athletes to appear in Gatorade’s ad campaign during the Rio Olympics. As part of that, he was on the label of Cool Blue Gatorade.
These commercials typically take three months complete, which would suggest that this new spot would air in May – during the NBA Playoffs.

George has proven that he doesn’t need to be in a big market to land spectacular endorsement deals.

He’s on the cover of NBA2K, was featured in Jeep commercials during the Rio Olympics, a Foot Locker spot last fall, has a Nike banner on the side of Bankers Life Fieldhouse, released his own like of New Era hats, and is part of national advertisements for Papa John’s.
On top of that, George’s first signature shoe, PG 1, is scheduled to be available worldwide on March 4.
