Scott Agness of VigilantSports.com recaps the Pacers’ 91-89 loss to the Clippers, who were without Blake Griffin.
Paul George scored 31 and Ian Mahinmi, back from a badly sprained left ankle, recorded a double-double … but the dual threat of Chris Paul (26 points) and DeAndre Jordan (9 points, 19 rebounds) worked well offensively for the Clippers late in the game. The Pacers had a chance with 2.1 seconds left, but didn’t even get a good look.
The Pacers’ last win over a +.500 team was back on Jan. 2 vs. Detroit. They are now 23-22 and eighth in the Eastern Conference, one game in front of Charlotte.
