Joe Young is featured in a Gatorade commercial with Paul George.
A few weeks before training camp, in mid-September, folks from Gatorade came through Bankers Life Fieldhouse with a production crew to record several commercials with Paul George.
How about Joe Young’s jacket, though?
The main one, in a mock locker room, was recorded well in advance for March Madness next spring.
Gatorade also filmed George, along with his cousin, rookie Joe Young, in a press conference setting for a spot that was released today. In it, George walks on the dais and turns to ask Young how his outfit looks before answering questions.

The commercial is scheduled to air regionally. Two other similar Gatorade ads feature Carolina Panthers quarerback Cam Newton and Bryce Harper of the Washington Nationals.
For the sake of transparency, George wouldn’t be going to the press conference room postgame because regular season postgame interviews are conducted in the locker room. Also, it’s highly unlikely Young, who has not yet played 50 minutes total, would be the other guy in there with him.
But let’s not let all of that get in the way of a good commercial.
