Former Pacer Lance Stephenson is back in his old stomping grounds, Indy, where he was drafted in 2010 and spent his first four years in the league.
Things haven’t come easy for him this season. He signed with the Hornets in July on a three-year deal worth $27 million, but things haven’t worked out as he thought. He hoped to be the guy, to carry more of the load and be one of the featured players.
Instead, it’s been a very difficult year for him and coach Steve Clifford, one of the biggest advocates for signing Stephenson, has not played him in the past two games.
Talking with reporters before morning shootaround, Stephenson discussed about his current situation, what he’s tried to do to adapt, on following his old team from afar, and how he was received around town Thursday night.
