Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade made a trip down to Indiana University last weekend while in town to play the Pacers in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
In game three, a blowout loss to the Pacers, Wade had one of the worst games in his career. He was lethargic, looked out of it and his shots weren’t falling. He just didn’t look himself. The day after the game, on an off day, he visited his mentor and father-figure, Tom Crean.
In the two playoff games since: 58 points, 12 rebounds, 8 assists. He’s shot 58-percent from the field. All this, after a 2-for-13, five point performance in game three.
Crean, along with Kevin Wilson, Todd Yeagley and Curt Miller, were in Fort Wayne Tuesday night for the third stop of the Indiana Tailgate Tour. Reggie Hayes of the Fort Wayne News-Sentinel interviewed Crean and asked him about having Wade on the Indiana campus for the first time.
