The Pacers hosted a beautiful and memorable public memorial service for Hall of Famer Mel Daniels.
Family, friends, teammates, and fans gathered at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in downtown Indianapolis Thursday afternoon to say celebrate the life of Mel Daniels. The three-time ABA champion and Hall of Famer passed away nearly one week ago.
To honor Daniels, the Pacers will wear a patch on their home jerseys for the rest of the season.
Hundreds turned out for the public memorial service, which was special and touching. The Pacers deserve a lot of credit for hosting the event and all the minor details that made it truly memorable.
