1260 WNDE in Indianapolis can now also be heard on the FM dial. The iHeartRADIO affiliate in Indianapolis purchased 97.5 FM and will simulcast WNDE programming on the FM dial beginning on July 6, 2015.
That means you can listen to ‘Query & Schultz‘ weekdays from 3-7 p.m. in crystal-clear HD, a big upgrade to AM radio. The Dan Patrick Show (9 a.m. to 12 p.m.) airs in the morning and Rush Limbaugh (12-3 p.m.) can be heard on prior to Q&S. At night, when the FCC requires an AM signal to be turned down, FM can keep on going — helping locally with the sports broadcasts of Indy Indians and Purdue University games.

The change is an upgrade in technology, and follows ESPN 1070 The Fan in moving their focus to FM radio. (1070 added FM 107.5 on February 19, 2013.)
From Schultz over at WNDE.com:
What does this change to Fox Sports 97.5 FM mean?
It means we’re entering the 21st century! In all seriousness, not much is really going to change. 97.5 FM is a straight simulcast (fancy radio jargon for “repeat”) of the 1260 AM you’re used to. Everything that is heard on 1260 AM will also be heard on 97.5 FM and vice versa. So, there are now three ways to listen to us: 1260 AM, iHeart Radio, or 97.5 FM. Oh, and our new website is FoxSports975.com, even though WNDE.com will still direct you to it. Perhaps the best news of all is, unlike the AM signal which has to be turned down at night (thanks, FCC!), the FM signal will not lose any power. So, regardless of where you are, your reception of 97.5 FM is going to be the same strength at 11 AM (day) as it is at 11 PM (night). This will especially be beneficial for any of you Purdue or Indians fans who like to listen to night games.
What if I like listening to the old AM station?
That’s perfectly fine. Go for it. When I go home to visit my parents back East, I still listen to 660 AM (WFAN) even though they have a much clearer FM signal. It’s what I’m used to and it makes me nostalgic. Feel free to listen to us on whichever channel – 97.5 FM, 1260 AM, or iHeart Radio – makes you the most comfortable.
Is Query and Schultz going to change?
No (more on this below). I’m still here… and amazingly, so is Jake. We’re still on from 3-7 PM. This blog still exists. The phone number (239-1260) is still the same. Our e-mail addresses and our Twitter handles – @Schultz1260 and @jakequery – are still the same. I’m still better looking than he is.
I’m excited for Indy sports fans, and happy for Jake Query and Derek Schultz. They both do a great job and I appreciate them having me on occasionally to talk Pacers, Indy sports, and whatever else Jake is pondering at the time. I sincerely appreciate their support.
