Yogi Ferrell, the Indiana University 2016 graduate who was with the Brooklyn Nets in training camp and was their final roster cut (on Oct. 21), has been called up to the NBA. This is Brooklyn’s first-ever call-up in Long Island Nets history.
The Nets (3-4) re-signed Ferrell Wednesday ahead of their game that night against the New York Knicks (2-4). He could make his NBA debut in a special and memorable place: Madison Square Garden.
In order to sign Ferrell, the Nets waived guard Greivis Vasquez, who re-injured his surgically repaired right ankle during Saturday’s loss to the Bucks.
