Yogi Ferrell will go through a tryout among point guards with the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday. The Indy native and IU product is in Philadelphia and is expected to compete against Chasson Randle, Cat Barber, and Brianté Weber, who the Pacers once considered, for a 10-day Contract.
Veterans Nate Robinson and Jordan Farmar are also being considered, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.
The first day teams with a roster spot could sign players to a 10-day deal was Jan. 6. Teams may not sign the same player to a 10-Day Contract more than twice during any one season.
Ferrell, who went undrafted in June, is still looking to stick with an NBA team. He was in training camp with the Brooklyn Nets, then was with them for double-digit games. Since the Nets made a roster move last month, he’s been playing in the Development League with their affiliate, the Long Island Nets.
That team is coached by Ronald Nored, who played at Butler from 2008-12.
