“This is Indiana” music video conveys the spirit of old IU

Two Indiana University seniors, Brice Fox and Daniel Weber have a knack for creative music videos with humor. On September 4th, 2010, they debuted the “IU Anthem” which now has over 63,000 views on YouTube.

This last fall, Fox and Weber wanted to create another tribute to Indiana. With the help of the IU Athletic Department, the two along with friends recorded the music video at Assembly Hall and Cook Hall.

I really like how it captures the tradition, history and culture of IU basketball and show some things never change. From toddlers to students to alumni, they all agree, “It’s Indiana.”

Today, on 1/11/11, the pair released a sequel entitled “This is Indiana.”

My personal favorite line from the song, “One banner. Two banner. Three banner. Four. Five banner. Six banner knockin’ on your door.”

For those that don’t remember, there was actually a previous song/music video for the Indiana men’s basketball team. Former IU football player Lance Bennett produced “Get in the Game” during the 2005-06 season. Watch that below.
