Beginning tonight, I will once again have a weekly sports talk show. While in high school, I had a show for my final two years called ‘N the Game Sportswire,’ where I primarily hit on North Central High School sports along with the pro sports.
The Sunday Night Conversation, will air every Sunday from 8-9 pm on 99.1 WIUX in Bloomington and online at http://wiux.org. I will be co-hosting with Wyatt Ferber and have a great producer on board in Austin Miller.
This show is going to be heavy on Indiana University sports because obviously on the campus, that’s our target audience. There’s so much to talk about with IU including new football coach Kevin Wilson trying to construct a winning football program, Tom Crean’s effort to return IU basketball to the glory days and the men’s soccer team’s quest for their eighth national title.
We will also focus on the NFL, NBA and whatever might be going on. This will be a highly interactive show…I encourage friends and listeners to tweet me questions @ScottAgness.
Segments will develop as we progress. This is yet another outlet to share my perspective and discuss sports at all different levels. It’s going to be a fun show, with plenty of hot topics to debate as the weekend closes.
Big guests with unique insight will be added as we go…I have a lot of knowledgeable guys that will call in along the way.
First up this week, we will introduce the show, hit on IU’s football woes yesterday against Penn State, quarterback controversies with multiple teams in Indiana, and the surprises of the NFL.
The show is about what you want to hear and I’m not going to book guests just for the sake of having names on the show. This week Chris Widlic of WISH-TV in Indianapolis will join us from Tampa Bay, where he is stationed for the Colts Monday Night Football game. Let me know your opinion on the show and don’t be afraid of voicing your feelings either on twitter or by calling in, at 812-855-9489.
