Dolphins fans campaign for Peyton Manning, put up billboard

It’s no secret that just about every team would love to sign Peyton Manning to their team, once released of course.

The Indianapolis Colts haven’t officially waived him yet but unless he takes a big, big pay cut, he will become a free agent by March 8. And probably the highest-profile free agent ever in NFL history.

A group of Dolphins fans in Miami have made a campaign — with a website, petition and now billboard — letting Manning know that they want him.

According to their website, ManningtoMiami.com, “this site has been created to help influence Peyton Manning and the Miami Dolphins that ‘Manning to Miami’ is a movement and marriage that the entire South Florida community is behind.”

Once the inevitable happens, agent Tom Condon’s phone will be called by about 26 teams. The only teams that wouldn’t consider Manning’s services are the Patriots, Giants, Packers, Saints, and Steelers.

The most realistic options: Miami, Washington and Arizona.

This is all of course, assuming he can play. Which is currently, no.

Bravo to you Dolphins fans. Nicely done campaign. And at the least, you are bringing exposure to your team.
