Indianapolis a finalist to host Super Bowl LII

Indianapolis hosting another Super Bowl is a real possibility. Indy, along with Minneapolis and New Orleans, were named the three finalists to host Super Bowl LII in 2018, the Indiana Sports Corp announced Tuesday afternoon.

The NFL owners gave the above cities their blessing to go ahead and propose an official bid, which is expected to be voted on during league meetings in May.

Minneapolis is receiving consideration because they are building a new stadium and New Orleans is, well, New Orleans.

I’ve said it before and I’ll continue to say it, there’s no city that does events better than Indianapolis.

Last time Indy hosting the Super Bowl, in 2012, they hit it out of the park. The weather couldn’t have been better, the game took over the city for two weeks and the volunteers were superb.

The reviews from media were incredibly positive, with many calling it the best Super Bowl ever, due to the hospitality, central location and excellent venues.
