IU basketball to host Haunted Hall of Hoops Oct. 29 after football homecoming

For those Indiana fans that are anxious for the basketball season and want to see how the team looks, head coach Tom Crean is hosting the Haunted Hall of Hoops on Saturday, October 29th following IU’s football game versus Northwestern.

“This event has grown each year and it is something our players and coaches enjoy being a part of,” Coach Crean said. “Anytime we can play in front of a crowd this time of year we want to do it to help prepare us for down the road.  This really serves as a second public exhibition game for our fans.”

Last weekend, Oct. 15, Indiana marked the started of the season with Hoosier Hysteria. About 16,000 fans were on hand. If you couldn’t attend and didn’t watch Hoosier Hysteria online, this is a second chance before the Hoosier host their lone exhibition game on Nov. 15 versus the University of Indianapolis.

The Assembly Hall doors open a half-hour after the game with the cream and crimson scrimmage to follow at about around 4:15 pm. After the scrimmage, kids are encouraged to parade around the floor sporting their costume and join in for a group photo.

This will be the fourth annual Haunted Hall of Hoops…Admission is free. Indiana’s first regular-season game is on Nov. 11, at home against Stonybrook.
