UPDATE: POSTGAME

Indiana wins 83-73 in front of about 6,000 fans at Bankers Life. Incoming Michigan State guard and Indiana’s Mr. Basketball Gary Harris was clearly the most outstanding player. He finished with a game-high 17 points and could do what he wanted.

Jeremy Howell came alive in the second half and was just shy of a double-double, tallying nine points and nine rebounds in 16 minutes of play. Yogi Ferrell was just 2-of-8, had six points and four assists.

Ron Patterson was good…really good. He plays with such a high motor and a never quit mentality. He was 7-for-8 inside the three-point arc and scored 14 points. When Indiana needed a lift, he gave them just that.

Indiana trailed 41-40 at half but dominated the second half. They led by as many as 19, outscored Kentucky 22-8 on points off turnovers and 18 to 6 in fast break points.

Indiana has now won the last nine games and 16 of the last 17.
