Video: Merging Indiana’s past with the present, and looking ahead to #TheMovement

“In 49 states it’s just basketball. But this is Indiana.”

Hoosiers love their hoops.

Indiana University basketball has been one of the powerhouse programs in the country, owning five national championships. The college basketball scene is best when Indiana is relevant.

In 2008, the team was gutted and in came head coach Tom Crean. Through their ups and downs, IU has re-established themselves as a contender, knocking off Kentucky and Ohio State in the same month. And there’s more to come.

In the video below, highlights from the old eras are shown, followed by the present and ending with #themovement. That’s the nickname is for Indiana’s 2012 recruiting class, consisting of Yogi Ferrell, Jeremy Hollowell, Ron Patterson, Hanner Mosquera-Perea and Peter Jurkin.

This class was suppose to be the turnaround Indiana needed. However, led by current freshman Cody Zeller, a movement is already underway. (Note: please excuse the language in some of the songs played)
