Video: Eric Gordon on free agency and competing for a spot on Team USA

Eric Gordon is in Las Vegas vying for one of the final spots on Team USA that will compete in the London Olympics.

A few highlights:

  • He feels slighted by the Hornets organization and has had little contact with team brass.
  • More than anything, he feels “taken advantage of” in New Orleans.
  • Eric can’t make sense of New Orleans drafting Austin Rivers at No. 10 when until Anthony Davis, they had no bigs.
  • The Hornets have said he’s their cornerstone player, yet he believes he hasn’t been treated that way or offered a contract that represents that.
  • It’s an honor for him to be playing with these guys and being considered for Team USA.
  • He says he’s 100-percent, without a doubt.
  • He’s lost some weight, down to 213 which he admits is the lightest he’s been in quite awhile.
