Slick Leonard has been stuck at home for most of the last three months after he slipped on ice in his church parking lot. He fractured a hip, was hospitalized, and has been resting at home with his wife, Nancy.

On Sunday, he made his much-anticipated return to Bankers Life Fieldhouse — for the first time in 2018. It’s one of the first times that he left his home since the Jan. 6 accident, excluding doctor visits.

“I came back today because I had to see them make the playoffs,” the Hall of Famer told upon his arrival. “It’s good to be back. I miss it. I miss all of the guys. I got a lot of friends down here.

“Three months is enough to be gone. I’m happy to be back.”

The Pacers (42-31) host the Miami Heat and clinch a playoff berth with a victory. Slick’s return will be celebrated on the video board during an in-game timeout.

Slick is in his 32nd season providing color commentary on the Pacers Radio Network.
