Garcon’s big night not enough – Colts still winless, lose to Bucs 24-17

Playing back-to-back games in front of a national audience, the Curtis Painter to Pierre Garcon connection couldn’t carry the Colts as they lose at Tampa Bay 24-17, falling to 0-4. The Colts were previously 9-1 in their last 10 games on Monday Night dating back to 2003.

With Painter under center, things look much more familiar to Colts fans, but about 1/20th of the way …

With Painter guiding the offense, Colts seek first win in Tampa Bay

When Peyton Manning ultimately decided for surgery in May, the team had no reason to think their franchise quarterback wouldn’t be ready in time for the regular season (if there was one, because the NFL lockout was still going on). Carpenter Wins Kentucky Thriller

It’s been a long time coming, but IZOD IndyCar Series driver Ed Carpenter picked up his first ever series win Sunday at Kentucky Speedway in dramatic fashion.

In almost the complete opposite of his luck in 2009 (when he lost to Ryan Briscoe by .0162 of a second), Carpenter edged out Dario Franchitti by .0098 of a second after having a 20-lap wheel-to-wheel battle with …

With Colts off to an abysmal start, media and fans have began talking about Indy’s chancing of landing Stanford sensation Andrew Luck. Most experts and scouts believe he is the next best quarterback to enter the NFL, since well, Peyton Manning.

Manning signed a five-year, 90 million dollar contract before this season but hasn’t played a game because of ongoing neck problems.

If Peyton has …

Stiff defense unable to carry Hoosiers over Penn State

In a low-scoring affair, Indiana competed with Penn State throughout in the teams’ conference opener. The game was exciting in the first and fourth quarters — and I’m sure if you ask IU, they’d love to toss out their ineffective middle two quarters.

The Hoosiers fall to 0-15 all-time against Penn State who won thanks to 16 straight points and an Indiana offense that failed …

Indiana is 1-3 heading into Saturday’s Big Ten opener against Penn State and they’re looking for answers.
