Pacers plan seven draft parties “around the town”

The Pacers have held a draft night party at Bankers Life Fieldhouse each of the last few years. This year, however, that won’t be the case. Cirque du Soleil: Quidam is invading the fieldhouse next week, thus, it won’t be available on June 28th.

That’s not stopping the team from throwing a party. Seven of them actually. (And if you’re a season-ticket holder, you should have received an invite to a private party at the Lucas mansion.)

Indiana has only one pick, No. 26.

Pacers fans of all ages will have a chance to watch this year’s draft and attend one of the team’s official parties from a choice of five different locations.  Each special spot will feature door prizes, games and food and drink specials. In addition, a former Pacers player will be on hand along with some Pacemates.  Each party will begin at 7:00 p.m. and continue through the end of the first round. The NBA Draft will begin at 7:30 p.m. and the Pacers have the 26^th pick in the first round.

“Our viewing parties for fans during the playoffs were hugely successful,” said Pacers Senior VP/Chief Sales & Marketing Officer Todd Taylor.  “We see this as a chance to go throughout the community, at many locations, and share one of the special nights of the NBA season with the people who really count – our fans.”

Three of the locations will be for an over-21 crowd with two set for all ages.
